Trickity Treat this Philippine Halloween
As of this writing, I'm alone guarding our house against potential burglars and spiritual invaders while my mom drives to the international airport (2 hours away) to pick-up my sister fleeing Singapore from her 10-day-or-so vacation with yet-another bf (disclaimer on the definition of "bf").
And yes, it's typical of me to be on safe-guard mode while our dogs comfortably sleep under my watch. Apparently being a web-developer involves squashing bugs that might creep in the future. So I blog away (to reduce stress).
The topic obviously is about this year's "Undas" (in Tagalog, or "All Souls Day" in English). For crying my freaking mind out, what keeps popping is the word "threat".
Here's a streamlined list of threats that tries to ruin my invigorating Halloween:
- Typhoon "Santi" (Mirinae)
- Being single in a chilly November.
- Our adopted named "Jeanna" is such a cry-baby (literally... she's such a LOUD MOUTH).
- Project tasks are piling up more than ever.
- Nothing is worth watching on TV.
- There's a mumu in the dark corner.
"Santi" almost coincidentally sounds like that miracle-child on Filipino TV, while "Mirinae" reminds me of 'marinade' and a certain specie of fish. Yum. Now I'm seafood-hungry. Very glad that this typoon decided to stay away from our area of responsibility (what a term).
Thank goodness to Coffee, I am able to survive the melodrama of my own making.
Tomorrow will be another day with the big family, at our newly relocated & constructed memorial lot to honor our grandfather (whom I never met).
Will leave it short. Time to don my ghost-buster suit.
Happy Undas Philippines!
